Overview of the development history and key design technology research of floating wind power dynamic cables in China
In order to solve the problem of offshore land shortage and resource scarcity, offshore wind power in China is changing from ‘light blue’ to ‘deep blue’. To adapt to the dynamic characteristics of floating wind turbines, floating platforms must be supported by dynamic cables, which are integrated cables for transmitting power and communication control signals with changing position and stress state, which evolved from relatively mature umbilical cables, involving the research of several key technologies. It includes dynamic cable configuration selection and design, fatigue calculation, anti-bending design and so on. Compared with foreign industries, the development of the domestic dynamic cable industry started late, the working environment is poor, and the lack of relevant technologies are all factors restricting the development of the domestic dynamic cable industry. This paper will be detailed from the development history, facing difficulties, key technology for design and other aspects of the detailed introduction.
