Design and implementation of energy storage site selection and sizing based on comprehensive evaluation of low voltage distribution areas
With the widespread integration of distributed photovoltaic systems and charging piles, distribution network systems face challenges such as load fluctuations, equipment overload, voltage violations, and reverse power flow. The configuration of energy storage in low-voltage distribution areas can enhance photovoltaic consumption, balance loads, and improve power supply reliability, but it also encounters issues like low utilization, excess capacity, and high costs. This paper delves into historical operational data of low-voltage distribution areas and employs big data analysis techniques to create a selfportrait of operational conditions, constructing a comprehensive evaluation system covering multiple key indicators to accurately guide energy storage site selection decisions. In formulating the sizing plan, a typical daily load curve is used as a basis, with peak shaving and valley filling as the core objective. Through detailed analysis, an efficient and economical energy storage capacity configuration plan for low voltage station areas is proposed. This plan effectively addresses the challenges of site selection and sizing for energy storage, providing foundational support for the efficient deployment and operation of energy storage systems in low-voltage distribution areas.
