Static voltage stability analysis of power systems with wind farms
This paper is provided with the stable-state computational model for the mainstream fan of the wind farms with doubly-fed wind generator set, and the method to calculate the power flow of power system containing the doubly-fed wind generator set. Meanwhile, by combing conventional power flow solutions with continuous power flow analysis methods, the P-V curve of relevant bus voltage in the power system containing wind farms with the changes of active power output at the wind farms is calculated. Furthermore, analysis is made on the main factors affecting the stability limit of static voltage in the system as well as the wind power accepting capacity of power grids in regions with voltage restrictions based on the P-V curve. According to the research, the main factors affecting the stability limit of static voltage for power system containing wind farms include the power factor of the wind power plant, and wind power integration line parameters, while the wind power accepting capacity of regional power grids is mainly affected by the strength of grid structure at the place where the wind farms is distributed as well as the power voltage characteristics of each wind power plant.
