Development status of zero-value detection technology for disk-type suspended insulator string of transmission line
Insulator strings are widely used in UHV transmission lines. However, in the long-term operation process of the insulator string, due to the surface pollution or in a harsh environment, its insulation and mechanical properties will deteriorate to varying degrees, resulting in zero-value insulators, affecting the safety and reliability of the transmission line. This paper first introduces the structure of insulator and the function of insulator string in power line. Secondly, the general methods of detecting insulator string at home and abroad are summarized in this paper. Finally, the paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of the proposed insulator string, and looks forward to the future development.
