Unified decoupling control for bimodal transformerless inverter

This article proposes a unified decoupling control strategy for a bimodal inverter with a capacitor decoupling circuit. Due to avoiding modes switching in the control strategy, the quality of grid connected current is ensured. Meanwhile, utilizing the existing capacitor in the circuit for active power decoupling reduces the impact of secondary pulsation power on the system and avoids the use of large decoupling capacitors. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified through an 800W experimental prototype.

Abstract

This article proposes a unified decoupling control strategy for a bimodal inverter with a capacitor decoupling circuit. Due to avoiding modes switching in the control strategy, the quality of grid connected current is ensured. Meanwhile, utilizing the existing capacitor in the circuit for active power decoupling reduces the impact of secondary pulsation power on the system and avoids the use of large decoupling capacitors. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified through an 800W experimental prototype.
