Research on high efficiency low voltage and high current spaceborne secondary power supply

As the integration of phased array antennas in spaceborne radar increases and the number of channels grows, the demand for power from spaceborne secondary power supplies is also escalating. The future development trend is towards low-voltage output, high current, high efficiency, and lightweight spaceborne secondary power supplies. This article conducts research on the selection of main power circuit topology, analysis of working modes, circuit simulation, and experimental verification. A 5V/40A power supply prototype was developed utilizing a full-wave synchronous rectification full-bridge circuit. The power supply operates within a voltage range of 80V to 120V, achieving a measured half-load efficiency of 93.6% and a full-load efficiency of 92.6%. It operates stably, exhibits good dynamic characteristics, and meets all design requirements. With high reliability, it is suitable for applications involving high-efficiency, low-voltage, and high-current secondary power supplies on board satellites.
