The application of photonic crystals in the back reflection layer of silicon thin-film solar cells
To solve the problem of the thick absorption layer of traditional crystalline silicon solar cells, researchers have developed silicon thin-film solar cells. The structure of silicon thin-film solar cells includes a back reflection layer. This structure can improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency on the basis of reducing the thickness of the absorption layer of solar cells. The heterogeneous single-period internally symmetric one-dimensional photonic crystal can be used as the back reflection layer of silicon thin-film solar cells. The transfer matrix method can be used to simulate the transmission spectrum of the heterogeneous single-period internally symmetric one-dimensional photonic crystal, and observe the changes in the transmission spectrum when the incident angle are changed.
