Simulation Study Based on Electromagnetic Radiation Exposure Certification of WPT Application Terminals

Abstract The wide application of wireless power transfer (WPT) technology has led to more and more application scenarios for power transmission of portable terminal equipment. This has heightened concerns about the exposure of WPT devices to electromagnetic radiation. This paper introduces the main application scenarios of WPT technology, the exposure certification requirements of major international WPT devices, and the simulation calculation methods involved in the current standards. The wireless power bank was modeled using simulation software and combined with the phantom model to evaluate the electromagnetic exposure of the human body. The results show that the simulated 1g-SAR value of the portable wireless power bank device is 1.56E-05 W/kg, which is much lower than the 1.6W/kg required by the face-centered cubic certification standard, but the magnetic field value is greater than 1.63A/m. Therefore, the potential risk of exposure to electromagnetic field radiation caused by such WPT equipment cannot be ignored.
