Study on Damage Risk of Post-treatment Highly Radioactive Pipeline in The Process of Desilting by High-pressure Water Jet

Abstract A desilting device with a high-pressure water jet was developed to solve the problem of blockage of highly radioactive pipelines in nuclear fuel reprocessing. The momentum theorem is used to calculate the high-pressure water impact force for the risk of a high-pressure water jet impacting the pipeline. Static equivalence is carried out. The nonlinear finite element method calculates the deformation and stress caused by the impact of high-pressure water on the pipeline. The influence of nozzle diameter and pressure of high-pressure water on the deformation damage of the pipeline is analyzed. According to the calculation results, the maximum pressure that can be borne within the elastic range of the pipeline is discussed. It provides guidance for desilting by high-pressure water jet.
