A Multidimensional Multilevel High Data Rate Differential Chaos Shift Keying System With Joint Demodulation Technology

This paper introduces a multidimensional multilevel high data rate differential chaos shift keying (JDT-M-MDCSK) system with joint demodulation technology that utilizes superimposed transmission. Employing this strategy, the system achieves significant improvements in data transmission rates and spectral efficiency. Furthermore, to enhance system performance even more, this paper introduces for the first time an innovative indexing selection method—classification combination index. This approach greatly enhances the functionality of the modulator by adding extra dimensions, broadens the potential for signal modulation, and notably increases the accuracy and efficiency of signal transmission. Meanwhile, on the receiver, we have implemented an innovative joint demodulation technique. This technique adeptly recovers reference index, code index, and classification combination index bits, thereby not only increasing the efficiency of the demodulation process but also simplifying system design and reducing complexity. To thoroughly evaluate the performance of the proposed JDT-M-MDCSK system, this paper presents an in-depth simulation analysis of its bit error rate (BER) performance under AWGN and multipath Rayleigh channels, confirming the precision of the BER theoretical expressions. Comparative studies with existing systems highlight the distinct performance advantages of the JDT-M-MDCSK system.
