EPISTEMOLOGICAL CRITICISM APPROACH(MOHAMMED ABED AL-JABRI AS AN EXAMPLE)

In this article, we seek to approach the problem of methodology, as a new approach to the study of heritage was presented, and we particularly mention the "epistemological criticism" approach, which was adopted by Muhammad Abed Al Jabri in studying the texts of heritage makers.Accordingly, the most important concepts that he transferred from their original field were considered, with the aim of investing and employing them in the study of Arab heritage.From there, we referred to the various elements that Al-Jabri adopted in forming this approach, dating back to various fields of knowledge, including philosophy, epistemology, and the human sciences.Our attempt is to highlight the slippages and shortcomings of this approach, examining its theoretical and intellectual starting points and references.
