THE PROBLEM OF THE SOVEREIGNTY OF MORAL VALUES AND ITS RELATIONSHIP TO THE HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
The modern dominance of the modernist approach sees in its experimental system more material benefits, and builds a science on the basis of separating moral values from the field of knowledge as a whole, and the social and human sciences in particular, and seeks to build an epistemological break that eliminates the role of values and pushes them into a circle of marginalization and isolation, as well as establishing a view of moral values according to utilitarian standards, which formed a social and human system incapable of encompassing modern problems, and the inability to direct, evaluate and modify human and social behavior has become increasingly critical and difficult. The goals of science are no longer the well-being of man, and that it is the goal, but man has become an end to other material goals, emptied of his values and principles, and has become a machine of his time, and this raises the existence of a moral problem and a cognitive defect that has exhausted the approach in the human and social sciences, and dwarfed their role in the present age, which necessitated renewing the approach to considering the relationship between values and the human and social sciences, and the necessity of restoring their governing, organizing and controlling role for science and knowledge.
