This research sheds light on personal memoirs in literary description and historical meaning, as personal memoirs are considered one of the literary genres that originated in the West and witnessed development until they became an independent literary genre, and occupied an important position in the study of history, and were widely used in various fields of human knowledge.This study aims to raise the contribution of personal memoirs to historical studies and analyze the systematic use of memoirs in historical academic research, by answering several questions, the first of which is what is meant by personal memoirs?
