THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF CONTEMPORARY SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH METHODOLOGIES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF UNIVERSITY FACULTY MEMBERS

The study aimed to investigate the impact of artificial intelligence on the development of contemporary scientific research methodologies from the perspective of faculty members in universities.The study sample consisted of 100 faculty members from various universities and diverse disciplines, such as medicine, engineering, and social sciences.The researcher used a questionnaire as a study tool.The results of the study showed that the vast majority of faculty members use artificial intelligence in their research work, and that big data analysis is the most common use among them.Furthermore, improving the accuracy of results is the greatest benefit of using artificial intelligence.The results also indicated that the lack of technical skills is the biggest challenge facing faculty members in using artificial intelligence.Academics are keen on transparency and data protection as important ethical issues.The study showed that artificial intelligence has a significant positive impact on the quality of scientific research.The researcher recommends providing specialized training programs for faculty members to develop their technical skills in using artificial intelligence, and encouraging universities to develop policies that include data protection, transparency, and credibility, to avoid ethical issues and enhance trust in research.
