THE ROLE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS IN ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN PALESTINIAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

The current study aimed to identify the importance and role of artificial intelligence applications in improving the quality of education in Palestinian higher education institutions.The focus was on how these institutions can benefit from artificial intelligence technologies to enhance and develop the educational process by improving teaching methods, providing academic support to students, and analyzing educational data to measure academic performance and achieve educational goals.The study also addressed the challenges that may face the implementation of artificial intelligence applications in higher education, and the importance of providing the necessary infrastructure and appropriate training for faculty members.The Palestinian study was conducted during the academic year 2023/2024 AD.To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach.In order to identify the reality of artificial intelligence applications in Palestinian higher education institutions and their relationship to the quality of education, she relied on the study tool represented by a questionnaire prepared by the researcher.This questionnaire was distributed to a random sample of university professors, consisting of 100 individuals from various Palestinian universities.The questionnaire consisted of two parts: the first part was devoted to primary information about the sample members, while the second part consisted of 35 paragraphs to measure the reality of artificial intelligence applications in Palestinian higher education institutions and their relationship to the quality of education.Based on the analysis of the data, the following results were reached: It was found that the degree of the paragraphs on the impact of using artificial intelligence applications on the quality of teaching and the educational process in educational institutions were all between medium and high.It was found that the degree of the paragraphs on the extent to which teaching staff rely on artificial intelligence applications, and what are the most prominent areas in which these applications are used, were all between medium and high.This result indicates that the extent to which faculty members rely on artificial intelligence applications, and the most prominent areas in which these applications are used, were high.
