THE EFFECTIVENESS OF USING (CHATGPT) AS A SUPPORTIVE TOOL FOR THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS AND ITS CHALLENGES FROM THE POINT OF VIEW OF FACULTY MEMBERS AT PALESTINE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY KHADOORI

The study he study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using (ChatGPT) as a supportive tool for the educational process and its challenges from the point of view of faculty members at Palestine Technical University Khadoori.In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the qualitative approach and the interview study tool.The study community consisted of all faculty members at Palestine Technical University Khadoori, Tulkarm Branch, numbering (30) members.A sample was selected using the simplified method.The results showed that the university adopted the artificial intelligence program as a new specialization due to the great demand for artificial intelligence and that it is one of the most important future specializations.Accordingly, the use of the Chat GPT application is highly effective if used properly.It also brought about a qualitative shift in the educational process and saves time and effort for learners and keeps pace with everything new.The use of this technology enhances human skills for effective cooperation between humans and machines in life and enhances its role in the field of artificial intelligence in the educational field, and helps in limiting, collecting and sorting information in an organized manner.The results also showed that the use of Chat GPT has a negative impact on the weakness of students' creative and critical thinking skills, and there are challenges related to information security and multiple potential risks such as theft of ideas and information and fraud, and that it can sometimes provide false information, especially in the medical, philosophical and legal fields, and it has a challenge related to the ethical dimension because it has the ability to produce biased or insulting content, and that the ways to address these challenges are to train faculty members on how to use Chat GPT effectively in the educational process, especially since some of them
