Parental Ethics in NLP Models: Aligning AI Responses for Safe and Balanced Children’s Internet Engagement
A Natural Language Processing (NLP) model processes and generates human language through AI algorithms. As technology shifts towards NLP models like ChatGPT, their role in shaping information access has grown significantly. Parents of children exposed to this technology now face challenges in monitoring their children’s internet activity, with nearly 50 per cent of online content being potentially misleading. This study focuses on Large Language Models (LLMs) and their AI-generated responses, analyzing and categorizing real-world prompts using AWS services. By aligning these responses with "parental ethics," the study evaluates whether NLP models contribute to or mitigate the risk of misleading young users.
