The Effect of Obesity on Prosthesis Positioning in Total Hip Arthroplasty Through the Posterolateral Approach: A Retrospective Study on 614 Total Hip Arthroplasties
The influence of obesity on inclination and anteversion angles should be considered during THA to prevent substantial malpositioning of prosthesis components. Further research is required to determine the clinical implications of these variances in prosthesis component placement between normal-weight and obese patients, particularly given the ongoing debate regarding the optimal 'safe zone' for acetabular component positioning and orientation.
