Development of a light-tight chamber for measuring the luminescent and photometric characteristics of milk

In order to increase the intensification of agricultural production, it is currently necessary to make a transition to technologies using digital process control systems. The transition problem can be solved by using information data obtained from measurement results, for example, by fluorescent, colorimetric, chemiluminescent and other optical methods. Based on the search experiments conducted, it was found that the measurement error by the spectrofluorimetric method using a quartz cuvette is quite high. Therefore, the authors of the paper conducted a patent review of existing light-tight chambers, the advantage of which is to maintain light-tight conditions. The disadvantages include the absence of a hole for the fiber cable and the retractable cover for placement of objects inside the chamber. The following parameters must be observed for the chamber being developed: the reflection coefficient is not more than 0.2; the absorption coefficient is not less than 0.6; the angle of inclination of the measuring surface is 0°, the opening for the light guide must be damped; provide a retractable cover for the objects under study. Several 3D models of light-tight chambers have been developed for optical measurements of biological objects (milk). In these models, existing technical solutions were applied to minimize the effects of external light background, protect photodetectors from failure and reduce accidental measurement errors. Based on the analysis of 3D models of light-tight chambers, its layout was made on a 3D printer, the tests of which revealed some of the features and disadvantages of a light-tight chamber. After their analysis, a second model of a light-tight chamber for a spectrofluorimeter with an external fiber-optic cable was made. For the second chamber, the illumination values E were measured, which were carried out with a TKA-01/3 luxmeter, and the light transmission values ? were calculated. As a result of the work carried out, it was possible to reduce the values to ? » 0 %, therefore, the goal was achieved.
