Application intensive rabbit breeding of a new breed being created
In FGBNU NIIPZK created and patented the first in the country rabbit crosses Rod 1, Rod 2, Rod 3, Rodnik, and since 2018 the work on the creation of a new breed of rabbits based on the parental form of the cross Rodnik. In view of the need for a deeper study of the biological features of the created breed of rabbits, the purpose of the present research was to assess the possibility of using intensive intensive rabbit breeding while preserving its desirable and selectable exterior traits. The work was carried out in the laboratory of experimental rabbit breeding FGBNU NIIPZK. In the first (intensive rabbit breeding) and second (traditional non- intensive rabbit breeding) groups of rabbits, formed on the principle of analogs, included 11 heads of adult, previously rabbited, females. The control third group included all other rabbits, where the traditional rabbit breeding were applied. According to the results of the research it was found out that the use of intensive rabbit breeding (I experimental group) in the conditions of the shed system of keeping did not reduce the indicators of fertility of rabbits, the number of rabbits left in the nest and the number weaned young rabbits at the age of 45 days, the safety weaned young rabbits. Percent rabbit waste at intensive and traditional rabbit breeding did not differ, as well as the causes of mortality. The rabbits were not exhausted at intensive rabbit breeding. The milkability of rabbits in group I, where the intensive rabbit breeding were used, was higher in the second rabbit breeding than in group II with traditional rabbit breeding by 2239 g (or 47,9%) (p<0,05), the difference in the sum of three rabbit breeding was noted at the level of trend. The conducted researches testify to the successful application of the intensive rabbit breeding on the herd of the new breed of rabbits being created.
