Wastewater heat recuperator in a shower unit
The article presents calculated and experimental data on the use of a recuperative heater of cold water entering the shower unit mixer. Heating is carried out due to the heat of water draining into the sewer. Jets of water from the shower net after taking a shower flow down onto a tray with a double bottom, through the cavity of which cold water passes. As a result, cold water is heated to a temperature of 30–35 °C before being supplied to the shower mixer. This significantly reduces the consumption of hot water during taking a shower in a shower unit. The economic effect of using the recuperator in both the private sector and public buildings (sports clubs, swimming pools, bath complexes) is calculated. This utilizer is also recommended for use in washing units of agricultural production.
