Effect of polymer-modified mineral fertilizers on nitrogen content in soil
The article considers the possibility of increasing the yield of winter wheat using polymer-modified mineral nitrogen fertilizers obtained using a biodegradable polymer based on starch. To assess the effect of modifying mineral fertilizers with a biopolymer substance on the nitrogen content in the soil and plant growth, a microfield experiment was conducted on winter wheat crops (Stavropol Krai). The plot area was 0.25 m?, the analysis was triple one, the soil was southern chernozem. Fertilizers were applied using ammonium nitrate at a dose of 80 kg/ha. The polymer substance was applied to the fertilizers by spraying to obtain polymer-modified fertilizer (5, 10 and 15 %). The impact of biopolymer modification of fertilizers was assessed by counting the number of winter wheat stems and analyzing changes in soil agrochemical parameters (nitrate and ammonium nitrogen content, P?O?, K?O, pHsalt). It has been established that the use of biopolymer fertilizers increases the efficiency of nitrogen nutrition of plants, reducing nitrogen losses, prolonging its availability and providing an increase in the yield of winter wheat by 29.8 % due to the number of productive stems. Variants with 10 and 15 % biopolymer content are especially promising, as they provide a stable supply of nitrogen throughout the entire period of plant vegetation.
