Performance Analysis of Microstrip Patch Antenna for Future Smartphone Applications

In this article, to compete in the major cellular technologies, including 3G, 4G, Bluetooth and even the next 5G mobile telecommunication networks, a microstrip antenna that can be used in a smart phone was suggested. The construction of a lightweight antenna is crucial because customers are still searching for thinner and compact smart phones, but at the same time with fast data rates. Thus, owing to the characteristics of the substrate, the proposed antenna will engage in the applications still yet small and lightweight. The planned antenna for the microstrip patch consists of slots used as radiating components. This antenna is equipped by FR4 substratum with 35.72 mm×45.24 mm and 1.2mm thickness are the measurements of the substrate respectively. The measurements of the patch are 20 mm×25 mm. All the findings validate that the suggested concept is a successful mobile terminal candidate.
