Stress-strain state of a composite stay rope constructed of periodically connected stripes of considerable length
Abstract Article purpose is in establishing stress-strain state features of a flat composite stay rope constructed of separate periodically connected elastomer-cable stripes of considerable length. Influence mechanism of continuity breakages of stripes along a stay rope length on the area size of local disturbance of a stress-strain state from local influence on a stay rope is established. The scientific novelty is in establishing that the absence of mechanical connection of stripes in a rope constructed of glued elastomer-cable stripes due to an increase in length of an area of manifestation of local disturbances affects both the stress-strain state of a stay rope in an area of stripe connection absence and beyond it, including in the event of a continuity breakage of a limited amount of cables. Practical significance of the article is in a possibility of stay rope production by periodically connecting elastomer-cable stripes in one plane, which also allows the production of ropes of greater strength on existing equipment without significant modernization.
