Tectonic factor in prediction changes in the radiological condition of technologically loaded territories of Central Ukraine
Abstract The use of tectonic information in calculation of integral estimation of radiological load for prediction changes in radiological condition of technogenically loaded territories of Central Ukraine (on the example of Dnipropetrovsk-Kirovohrad region of mining and primary processing of uranium raw materials) is considered. The technology for prediction the development of regional radiological condition in Central Ukraine is based on the idea of a change in current distribution of radionuclides in all geospheres, caused by a combination of natural and anthropogenic factors, under the action of a set of man-made processes with the use of special correction coefficient that takes into account the influence of features of tectonic structure of the territory on linear and planar spread of man-made radioactive pollution. Taking into account the tectonic factor using information about spatial density of indicators of tectonic faults and unified scale of weighting coefficients of various groups of geological-geophysical features (indicators) of Earth’s crust fault systems of Ukrainian shield allows to obtain a more detailed spatial estimation of predicted radiological condition of the research area.
