THE USE OF FEED MIXTURES IN POULTRY FARMING

Current efforts are aimed at new developments and effective approaches to the use of essential oil compositions for the prevention of outbreaks of viral diseases, increasing the immune response to the introduction of vaccines, stimulating growth, preventing stress, including heat and in the event of a change in feed to increase hatchability and improve reproductive function. Based on a unique combination of a mixture of essential oils of rosemary, thyme, eucalyptus and other components, including the addition of vitamins E, C, glycine, trace elements selenium and manganese, the feed mixture IMMUNITY STIM, produced by Industria Italiana Intergratori TREI S.p.A., a group of companies LIVISTO (Italy) for oral administration to agricultural animals, poultry and carnivores, has been produced. Essential oils of eucalyptus, thyme and rosemary exhibit antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral effects. Vitamins E and C act synergistically, improving humoral and immune responses. Glycine helps modulate cytokine production by leukocytes. Manganese and selenium significantly increase antibody titers, possibly by stimulating the activity of neutrophils and macrophages. The feed mixture has antiviral and antimicrobial properties. A positive effect on the effectiveness of specific prophylaxis against Newcastle disease has been established. Thus, group immunity was higher by 16.5%. The use of the feed mixture IMMUNITY STIM, at a dose of 1 l / t of water from 25 to 34 days has a positive effect on production indicators, namely: increases average daily gains, reduces feed conversion ratio, increases the percentage of bird survival and increases the European index.
