Using the potential of nano-tubes as GEM-holes
Abstract Nanotube configurations are two primary one-dimensional nanostructures that have garnered significant raised because of their unique features and extensive application potential. This research utilized a methodical approach to create and assess the performance of nano-GEM foils, which integrated aluminum oxide nanotubes within porous aluminum oxide matrices. We also examined the inclusion of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) structures, celebrated for celebrated for known for exceptional capabilities in gas multiplication applications. The resulting nanostructured GEM foils were designed with through-hole patterns. In addition, we assessed the viability of using AAO nanotubes as GEM holes, ensuring their unobstructed nature. A detector prototype was fabricated from the engineered nanostructured GEM foil.
