A list of the superfamily Curculionoidea (Coleoptera) from North-East Altai, Siberia
In total, 238 species of 116 genera of the superfamily Curculionoidea are found from the North-East Altai. The families Nemonychidae includes one species, Anthribidae – three species, Rhynchitidae – eleven species, Attelabidae – two species, Brentidae – 22 species, Curculionidae – 157 species and Scolytidae – 41 species. There are the first records of Homorosoma asperum (Roelofs, 1875) for Siberia and Kazakhstan, Ceutorhynchus matisi Korotyaev, 1995, Dorytomus malachovi Korotyaev, 1976 and Olamus salicinus (Gyllenhal, 1827) for Altai Republic and 126 species for the North-East Altai. Hylobius longulus Faust, 1882, syn. n. and Hylobius litigiosus Faust, 1887, syn. n. are synonymous with Hylobius haroldi Faust, 1882. Trophic relationships and altitudinal distribution of the weevil species are given. The article also presents 33 species of Curculionoidea from 21 genera known from two late Pleistocene insect assemblages of the North-East Altai (Lebed and Kebezen), of which nine species (Hemitrichapion tschernovi (Ter-Minasian, 1973), Notaris altaica (Legalov, 1997), Thryogenes nereis (Paykull, 1800), Ceutorhynchus erysimi (Fabricius, 1787), Orobitis cyanea (Linnaeus, 1758), Phyllobius contemptus Schönherr, 1832, Otiorhynchus krattereri Boheman, 1842, O. af. ursus Gebler, 1844 and Carphoborus teplouchovi Spessivtsev, 1916) are absent from the modern fauna of the region.
