TFR 17.1 Full Issue
Touching on the relationship between learning and evaluation and resilience are authors Pul and Levine.Their thesis is that partnering with learning and evaluation practitioners with a deep understanding of the systems, places, and people foundations are serving will enhance our understanding of problems and how foundations can best leverage their funding to address them. They argue that drawing on lived and local experience is key to strategic effectiveness and resilience.Their article describes how foundation procurement and contracting processes can create opportunities for small and solo proximate evaluation firms to contribute their expertise and generate more useful learning.
