C-Cu Nanocomposite/Silk-Based 2D Disposable Stochastic Sensors for Fast Simultaneous Molecular Recognition and Analysis of MMP1 and MMP2 in Biological Samples

C-Cu nanocomposite layer was prepared on silk substrates at room temperature, and further modified with heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-beta-cyclodextrin to design 2D stochastic sensors for fast molecular recognition of MMP1 and MMP2 in biological samples. The significance of fast assessment of MMP1 and MMP2 is given by the fact that they serve as biomarkers indicating the advancement and metastasis of gastric cancer through their facilitation of tumor invasion and degradation of extracellular matrix components. The 2D disposable stochastic sensors demonstrated sensitivities reaching 9.12 × 10 12 s −1 g −1 ml, limits of quantification standing at 1.00 × 10 −22 g ml −1 , and a working concentration ranging from 1.00 × 10 −22 to 1.00 × 10 −7 g ml −1 .
