A new class of locally Hamiltonian conservative chaotic systems with the controlled multi-scrolls

The paper first reports a new class of locally Hamiltonian conservative chaotic systems (CCSs) with the controlled multi-scrolls by using a piecewise function to replace the smooth Hamiltonian function. The novelty of the new locally Hamiltonian CCSs is that the Hamiltonian energy of each constituent system is locally conserved, and the conservation is related to the piecewise function and initial values. Besides, multi-scroll dynamics of them can also be controlled by adjusting the piecewise function. Subsequently, two cases are given to further show how to generate multi-scroll chaotic flows, and the corresponding Hamiltonian energy is also given to show their local conservation. Finally, the new locally Hamiltonian CCSs are implemented by using the Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, which not only physically show multi-scroll dynamics of them, but also provide the new pseudo-random signal generators for chaos applications.
