Materialisierungen. Zur Untersuchung von Körpern mit Situationsanalyse und Agentiellem Realismus

Questioning the occasional forgetfulness of the body (also) in pedagogy and calls for greater empirical consideration of material aspects of the social make a search for points of contact between New Materialism and situation analysis appear attractive in order to develop new methodological perspectives for educational body research. Adele Clarke's tool of mapping, which already refers analytically to material aspects of the social, can, according to one thesis in the article, be supplemented with Karen Barad's approach of Agential Realism, which thematizes material aspects in the form of relational materialism. The article discusses how situational analysis and agency realism can be combined in order to make corporeality empirically accessible in the interest of educational science without objectifying bodies in an essentializing way.
