Features of expressing the lexico-semantic group THEATRE in Russian-language social networks: lexical collocability challenges

This article delineates the findings of a study examining the structure of the lexico-semantic group THEATRE within contemporary Russian-language social networks. The structure of the lexico-semantic group THEATRE has been defined, and a systematization of its constituent lexicon and lexical collocations has been performed. The objective of this research is to determine the structure and semantic content of the lexico-semantic group THEATRE based on data extracted from modern Russian-language social networks. The source of examples in this work is the official page of the Bolshoi Theatre on the social network "VKontakte." The novelty of this research resides in the conclusion, drawn from the constructed model of the lexico-semantic group THEATRE, regarding the specific interpretation and perception of the theatre as a cultural and artistic phenomenon within the modern media environment of social networks; this issue warrants further attention from linguists due to the pervasive nature of social networks as a communicative space. The study revealed that words incorporating the root -театр- (theatr-) most frequently co-occur with lexemes possessing the semantic components "space" and "organism." The results obtained indicate that, within the language of social networks, the theatre is primarily associated with a spatially enclosed and limited system that lives and evolves according to the developmental principles of a living organism. Consequently, theatrical performance is interpreted as a result of this evolution.
