Prevention of psychosocial risks: Strategies for a healthy work environment

Introduction: There is a wealth of data on the prevalence of psychosocial risk factors and their consequences, which can provide an idea of the magnitude of the problem and guide preventive measures. The occupational health field is an emerging and relevant area for the early detection of signs and symptoms in workers when faced with inadequate exposure to these types of factors. Objective: To detect individual situations of people affected by psychosocial risks, where general risk assessment could mask, and to analyse the effectiveness of educational interventions. Methods: Quasi-experimental, longitudinal, and prospective study (for two years). All hospital workers who meet the inclusion criteria will be included. The project is being developed in 2 phases. In the first phase, data will be collected using the “MindSAFE” tool, and screening questionnaires will be filled out. After analysing the results, the second phase will begin, where the worker will be summoned to a nursing office for a more exhaustive individual assessment or, alternatively, a telephone consultation will be carried out. After analysing the worker’s situation, various educational interventions will be carried out according to their needs. Follow-up will take place in 3 and 6 months. Data analysis: Absolute and relative frequencies will be calculated for qualitative variables and the mean and standard deviation for quantitative variables. The relationship between variables, according to their nature, will be determined using Pearson's Chi-square and analysis of variance. Objetivos: Detectar situaciones individuales de personas afectadas por riesgos psicosociales, donde la evaluación de riesgos general podría enmascarar, y analizar la eficacia de las intervenciones educativas. Diseño: Estudio cuasiexperimental, longitudinal y prospectivo (durante dos años). Se incluirá a todos los trabajadores del hospital que cumplan los criterios de inclusión. El proyecto se desarrolla en 2 fases. La primera se recopilará los datos a través de la herramienta “MindSAFE” y se rellenarán los cuestionarios de screening. Tras analizar los resultados, se iniciará la segunda fase, donde se procederá a la citación en consulta de enfermería del trabajo para una evaluación individual más exhaustiva o, por el contrario, se realizará una consulta telefónica. Tras analizar la situación de la persona trabajadora, se realizarán diversas intervenciones educativas según sus necesidades. El seguimiento será a los 3 y 6 meses. Análisis de datos: Se calcularán las frecuencias absolutas y relativas en las variables cualitativas y la media y desviación estándar para cuantitativas. La relación entre las variables, según su naturaleza, se utilizará la Ji-cuadrado de Pearson y el análisis de la varianza.
