OPTIMIZING QUANTUM RÉNYI RELATIVE ENTROPY BETWEEN UNITARY ORBITS

Quantum relative entropy is a pivotal concept in quantum information theory. This study focuses on the quantum Rényi relative entropy and investigates the minimal and maximal values of this particular type of relative entropy between unitary orbits. In addition, we derive the extremal values for the quantum Chernoff distance between unitary orbits.

Abstract

Quantum relative entropy is a pivotal concept in quantum information theory. This study focuses on the quantum Rényi relative entropy and investigates the minimal and maximal values of this particular type of relative entropy between unitary orbits. In addition, we derive the extremal values for the quantum Chernoff distance between unitary orbits.
