Beton a grand dallage a base des pneus usages

Large slab concrete is often used for large surfaces, such as warehouses, parking lots or access ramps. When subjected to heavy loads or moisture, this type of structure is prone to cracking and crazing. To address this problem, this study was carried out.It involved incorporating used tires into concrete as aggregate at various percentages.Cylindrical specimens of hydraulic concrete with 5, 10 and 15% tire added as aggregate were produced. These specimens were subjected to physical (porosity, absorption and dry density) and mechanical (compression, splitting tension and 3-point bending tension) characterization tests at different ages to assess their performance. The results show that the incorporation of 5, 10 and 15% tires as aggregate leads to a reduction in the physical and mechanical properties of the composites. This is due to poor adhesion between the cementitious matrix and the tire aggregates, due to their smooth surfaces. The results show that the strengths obtained at 28 days of age for the splitting and compression tests on the recycled specimens have values of less than 2.1 MPa and 25 MPa respectively, which does not comply with the requirements of Eurocode 2 and standard NF EN 206/CN for paving. However, the recycled specimens all have a flexural strength of over 4.1 MPa at 28 days, which promotes concrete ductility, reduces shrinkage and prevents the propagation of cracks in the concrete. In addition, according to DTU 13.3, for slabs, the maximum pressure for a static load of 20 KN recommends a maximum contact Large flooring
