Monitoring fluid characteristics in Barite mineralisation: a multivariate statistical and thermodynamic investigation from the Dadağlı Field, Kahramanmaraş

The present study aims to clarify the circumstances and origins of mineralization by integrating fluid inclusion analysis with multivariate statistical approaches to delineate the genetic properties of barite mineralization in the Dadagli area. The fluid inclusion studies examined the pressure-temperature conditions and the origin of fluids in the mineralization process by analyzing eutectic temperature, ultimate ice melting temperature, homogenization temperature, salinity, and hydrostatic pressure. The thermodynamic data elucidated the mineralization process, while multivariate statistical tools, including correlation, regression, and factor analysis, facilitated a more profound comprehension of the interrelationships among geochemical variables. The fluid inclusion data from the Dadagli area indicate that barite mineralization occurs at high-temperature and medium-salinity settings. Homogenization temperatures from 268.20°C to 348.50°C and NaCl salinity levels from 4.80% to 9.21% corroborate the epithermal origin of the mineralization in the area. These results align with other barite deposits worldwide and enhance the study’s validity and credibility. This work employs fluid inclusion techniques and multivariate statistical approaches to elucidate mineralization processes, offering a data set similar to other deposits in Turkey and barite systems elsewhere. This analytical approach enhances the global comprehension of fluid systems and establishes a robust framework for advancing mineral exploration models. The study’s findings affirm that the Dadagli barite deposit displays epithermal properties and is an exceptional example for examining hydrothermal systems’ geochemical and physical dynamics. by analyzing.

Abstract

The present study aims to clarify the circumstances and origins of mineralization by integrating fluid inclusion analysis with multivariate statistical approaches to delineate the genetic properties of barite mineralization in the Dadagli area.
