The index of severity for eosinophilic esophagitis reflects treatment response in children and associates with outcome variables
• We confirmed the sensitivity of the index, with a significant decrease in the score with treatment, with the decrease being more pronounced in children with histologic response. • A higher initial severity score was associated with the need for more treatments, sequentially or in combination.
