Modeling Photon Transport in a Fractal Waveguide Considered for 3–5 Order Nonlinearity

The authors study features of the quantum transport of photons in a waveguide lattice with two types of fractal structure: a Sierpinski triangle and a square formed by hexagons. The evolution of the system is analyzed using a discrete Schrödinger equation that considers 3–5 order nonlinearity. The effect fractal geometry has on the quantum transport of photons in a waveguide lattice is revealed.

Abstract

The authors study features of the quantum transport of photons in a waveguide lattice with two types of fractal structure: a Sierpinski triangle and a square formed by hexagons. The evolution of the system is analyzed using a discrete Schrödinger equation that considers 3–5 order nonlinearity. The effect fractal geometry has on the quantum transport of photons in a waveguide lattice is revealed.
