El rol de la familia en la formación de habilidades matemáticas en la educación secundaria Dominicana.
Students in the lower secondary school face difficulties in understanding and learning mathematics, which is evident in the students' lack of preparation and grasp of the content. This study seeks to determine the influence of parents on their children's mathematics learning. A mixed and descriptive approach was used, using questionnaires and interviews. The sample included 1,183 participants, including teachers, students and parents in the provinces of Santiago and Monseñor Nouel. The results indicate that the lack of parental involvement in their children's education negatively affects their academic performance. It is concluded that the collaboration and attention of parents are fundamental in the teaching-learning process and have a significant impact on the academic performance of students.
