DYNAMICS SIMULATION OF AUTOMATIC WEAPON MECHANISMS AND THEIR IMPACT ON SHOOTING ACCURACY

This study investigates the dynamics simulation of automatic weapon mechanisms and their impact on shooting accuracy. First, a three-dimensional solid model of the automatic mechanism was established using UG software and imported into ADAMS to construct a virtual prototype. By applying various constraints, loads, and kinematic relationships, a virtual prototype model consistent with the actual system was developed. Subsequently, the gas chamber force was determined and applied to the piston in ADAMS via spline-type data. Finally, simulations were conducted to analyze the influence of different automatic mechanism parameters on barrel deflection angles, thereby evaluating their impact on shooting accuracy. The results demonstrate that factors such as bolt mass, bolt carrier mass, and recoil spring stiffness significantly affect shooting accuracy within specific ranges.
