The utilization of greenhouse gas CO2 in the production of low-carbon concrete material
With rapid urbanization and a growing global population, CO2 emissions have surged, driving climate change. Concrete, the second most used material globally, accounts for 8% of anthropogenic emissions. Despite mitigation efforts, the construction sector's CO2 output has increased, especially post-pandemic. This talk explores innovative strategies to reduce concrete’s carbon footprint, such as utilizing gaseous CO2, diverting solid wastes, and adopting 3D concrete printing technology.
