Multi-Cell Expansion of Dynamic Full-Duplex Cellular Systems with Distributed Directional Base Station Reception Functions
In-band full-duplex (IBFD) is gaining attention due to its improved spectral utilization efficiency towards 6G. A dynamic full-duplex cellular (DDC) system has been proposed to gradually introduce IBFD into the current time-division duplex-based 5G system. In addition, the DDC system with transmission (Tx) and reception (Rx) separation has been proposed to reduce self-interference at base stations. However, previous studies have not considered a multi-cell environment. In this study, we propose a DDC system with separated and distributed Rx antennas for a multi-cell environment equipped with directional antennas to reduce inter-cell interference.
