TILTA - TCS Indoor Location Trend Analyzer

As Industry 4.0 rolls out, there has been an ever-growing need for data. One form of data which is especially valuable is location data in an indoor setting, such as office spaces, warehouses, factories, etc. While there have been several works on capturing localization data of users, there lacks work on analyzing the collective user data, specifically understanding the mobility of users as a group which can reveal macroscopic trends inside an environment. Our platform TILTA (TCS Indoor Location Trend Analyzer) takes location data from existing location estimation models and reveals mobility trends among multiple groups of users in real-time. These trends can give a deeper understanding regarding how users interact with an environment. Our initial testing shows that TILTA can discover multiple types of hidden mobility patterns which can help in developing mobility profiles for users. This data can be used for different usecases, such as improving building security, or managing large crowds.
