Driver Fatigue Degree Detection Based on Eyes Opening and Closing Ratio
In the field of traffic safety, there is a growing need to measure driver fatigue degree. Fatigue is a complex physiological and psychological state, and the eye status can directly reflect the fatigue situation. It is important to define the appropriate metrics of the eye status and construct a detection model to identify the fatigue degree. This paper proposes a new fatigue degree detection method based on the eye opening and closing ratio and Gaussian Mixture Model. The discussion is supplemented by a brief case study highlighting the feasibility of the proposed approach.
