ACTIVATING THE ROLE OF THE BANKING SECTOR IN SUPPORTING AND FINANCING SMALL AND EMERGING PROJECTS IN LIBYA "A FIELD STUDY ON A SAMPLE OF LIBYAN COMMERCIAL BANKS"
Small and emerging enterprises play a prominent and important role in the economies of the world in light of the continuous changes in the industrial and productive environment, rapid technological development and digital transformation, which face challenges to improve production and manufacturing capabilities and their sustainability in meeting market requirements. The Libyan economy is one of the developing economies, and since the size of the production and industrial gap between large companies and small and emerging enterprises is large and increasing, this requires the development of good strategies and policies in order to enhance the contribution of small and emerging enterprises and entrepreneurship to comprehensive sustainable development, and the most important of these policies is supporting and financing small and emerging enterprises. The study aims to highlight the role of the banking sector in supporting and financing small and emerging projects in Libya and to present the reality of the problems and obstacles facing entrepreneurs in obtaining financing from the banking sector and to propose mechanisms to contribute to addressing these obstacles and developing innovative financing solutions from banks that can be applied in practice.
