Reflektieren, Kommunizieren, Revolvieren: Diffraktives Potenzial der Abbildung forschender Personen in der Theoriegenerierung der Situationsanalyse

The article deals with the significance of what is discussed under the concept of reflection in qualitative research. It emphasizes the necessity of documenting the positions and processes of researchers, thereby presenting reflexivity as a constitutive element of the entire research process. Starting from its importance as a (theoretical) research paradigm in qualitative social science, reflexivity recurringly transforms in reference to the New Social Childhood Studies and their critical receptions in the contribution, such that relational understandings are subsequently discussed in continuation of the infra-paradigm discourse. Framed in this way, the contribution adopts a diffractive approach and re-conceptualizes traditional reflection practices in this specific manner. As a concrete implementation of the diffractive approach within situational analysis, an extension of mapping techniques is proposed to visualize the positionality of researchers. The article concludes emphasizing the entanglement of researchers with the research process and suggesting strategies for a diffractive implementation in situational analysis that promotes a nuanced and ethical qualitative research approach.
