Dupilumab is an mAb that blocks the signaling of both IL-4 and IL-13. Bhatt et al (Lancet Respir Med 2025 Jan 31; https://doi.org/10.1016/S2213-2600(24)00409-0) conducted a pooled analysis of over 1800 subjects from 2 randomized, placebo-controlled phase 3 trials (BOREAS and NOTUS) that evaluated the safety and efficacy of dupilumab in adult patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and evidence of type 2 inflammation (blood eosinophil counts of at least 300 cells per μL) without a history of asthma.
