Small architectural forms as a reflection of national identity and the image of the city of Pavlodar

The aim of this research is to identify the significance of small architectural forms in preserving national traditions and cultural heritage, as well as to assess their impact on the formation of cultural identity in the urban environment. The article analyzes the integration of national artistic motifs into elements of urban improvement. Particular attention is paid to the perception of small architectural forms by city residents, for which an online survey was conducted. The data obtained demonstrated a high interest of citizens in the inclusion of ethnic symbols in the architectural image of the city, but revealed their insufficient use in existing amenities. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive approach to the study of small architectural forms as a means of preserving and actualizing national traditions in the urban environment. For the first time, an analysis of public opinion in the context of ethno-cultural adaptation of small architectural objects has been conducted. As a result of the research, the main problems of placement and design of small architectural forms, which reduce their cultural perception, were identified. The necessity of revising existing design solutions, taking into account the ethno-cultural characteristics of the region, was revealed. Recommendations are proposed for involving the local community in the process of urban environment planning, which will create a more harmonious and identifiable space reflecting traditional artistic values.
