The Relationship between Well-Being and Anxiety among Uzbek Students Participating in the Export of Russian Education

The article is devoted to the study of well-being, anxiety and their relationship among students of Uzbekistan participating in the export of Russian education abroad. The relevance of the study is due to the strategic importance of establishing friendly ties and interstate contacts, broadcasting domestic values to the countries of Central Asia, in particular, to Uzbekistan, which is a good alternative to migration processes. The methodological basis of the study was the theory of anxiety (personal, situational, separation) and the concept of psychological well-being as a socio-psychological phenomenon, considered from the standpoint of positive psychology of M. Seligman, embodied in the structure of well-being (happiness) - PERMA (Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment). As a result of the empirical study, significant differences in the experience of separation anxiety were revealed, which is more characteristic of Uzbek students. The hypothesis about the relationships was confirmed: in the group of Russian students, positive emotions negatively correlate with situational anxiety, and the relationship indicator - with separation anxiety. In the sample of Uzbek students, negative relationships of happiness with separation and situational anxiety were also found. The hypothesis about the differences between Russian and Uzbek students in the structural components of PERMA was not confirmed: an average level of well-being was revealed in both samples, and no significant difference in the well-being indicators was found between the groups. The hypothesis about the differences in the level of anxiety was partially confirmed: a difference in the severity of separation anxiety was found. The hypothesis about the relationship between well-being and anxiety was confirmed, however, in the comparison groups under consideration, it has a different structure.
